These are reserves for protecting bogs and wetlands. Four bogs and wetlands of the National Park are included in them. The Bakanauskai reserve is noteworthy for a distinctive intermediate type of wetland plant life, including protected wetland species, such as inundated club moss (Lycopodiella inundata), Lapland willow (Salix lapponum), and heath spotted orchid (Dactylorhiza maculata). The Dėlynas reserve protects the complex of small bogs and lakes scattered throughout the forest to the south of Žiūrai in the interdune area formed by glacial meltwater. The Didžiabalė reserve includes the intermediate-type bog to the northeast of the village of Musteika. One of the largest forested upland bogs in southeastern Lithuania, with its black grouse and Western Capercaillie (wood grouse) mating grounds and crane nesting grounds, is protected in the Imškai reserve to the south of the village of Musteika.
