Various Easter eggs decorating ideas were shared in the Ethnographic Homestead-Museum of Dzūkija National Park on the 29th of March. The event was organized by Dzūkija National Park and Čepkeliai State Nature Reserve Administrations. The senior specialist of the culture heritage division Jonas Bajoriūnas and traditional crafts homemaker Ruta Sakalienė conducted the training. There were a lot of participants who were interested how to decorate Easter eggs: Marcinkonys primary school teachers , Marcinkonys community ward representatives and guests from Varėna, the park staff and volunteers. Easter eggs were decorated by traditional Dzūkai methods. Boiled eggs were carefully printed with wax and then painted with natural colours. To make Easter eggs even more beautiful the trainers put them for a few minutes into the stove. The participants were able to take decorated Easter eggs as a present for their Easter celebration.
